Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2013,
was dominated by the brisk and windy weather in Livingston and this made it really tough on all the little first time trick or treaters and their search for the holy sugar grail.
This also made it really tough to keep a pumpkin lit.
Needless to say,  my wife and I made our trip across Livingston in the inclement weather  on our bicycles to see what was out there in the way of small town trick or treating and capture it for the old blog via my camera.

We also made a hike up into Deep Creek Trail in Paradise Valley and found a whole new area to explore.

With most of the candles blown out I decided to look at places with no light like
this 'ghost house'.

This house has friendly neighbors that throw candy at you
every year.

I believe I photograph this guy last year.

My frozen wife Lidice.

Lidice and I ran into a pair of young pine martens on this hike in the Deep Creek Trail Area alas, I did not capture them with my camera however I did photograph a very interesting area filled with promise for future hikes.  This pass is one of the few entrances into the mountains that is not really steep. I can venture deep into the Absaroka-Beartooth mountain range into the Gallatin National Forest through this creek canyon without trashing my knees.

This area was consumed by a large forest fire two summers ago.
