New Camera!

Hi Folks, for my 70th post I have a treat for myself and you... after an entire year of saving money, gathering equipment online and shopping for lenses and camera equipment at local camera shops, I have finally put together my large format 4 X 5 camera package. This is the first of an endless stream of photography that I will be producing with this camera. Ninety-five percent of the pictures will be in black and white with the occasional images in color negative. I will be scanning for sometime to come until I figure out how to build a darkroom in my bathroom complete with enlarger and tubs. I have trips planned to the Tetons, Yellowstone and through Idaho and into California and Yosemite. Maybe the Pacific ocean will be on my stops if the Valley is to darn hot when I am in California.

For now, enjoy the digitally scanned negatives of the great Rocky Mountains. This day was all about the clouds and the great textures that a large format camera can bring out of an image.

P.S. If you folks do not know already, you can make the images larger by simply double clicking with the right mouse button to really look at the details of my art.
And thank you all for the compliments via facebook, twitter and email. I really appreciate the input!
Enjoy!
